I don’t drink enough at all. I just never feel thirsty. The other day I realized that I had a couple of sips of water at lunch (12:15) and didn’t drink anything else the rest of the day. I am overweight. My doctor agreed that I should lose some weight, but she said that I should go on a diet because I’m still young (I’m 16) and therefore I’m still growing.
I’m really uncomfortable with my weight. I’ve heard that if you drink more water then you will lose weight because of water retention… stuff like that. I was wondering if that was really true? Should I give it a shot? I really want to lose weight. And I should drink more water anyway.

it’s true to an extent… drinking water can help you lose weight especially if you don’t drink a lot of water during your day. Your body needs water it’s like what 70% water? If you don’t get enough of something your body needs your body will crave it.

Foods hold more water than you think so your body could be craving the traces of water in the foods you eat. Try sipping water through the day you’ll get the water your body needs and you will potentially feel less hungry since your stomach has water in it.

I think you’re slightly mistaken about water retention.

Water retention causes you to (temporarily) gain weight. Anyhoo, water isn’t like some miracle drug that helps you lose weight. They say it helps you lose weight because a) it has no calories and excessive calories cause weight gain, and b) it can aid in appetite suppressant. If you are full from water, you won’t have appetite for food, c) It aids in excretion due to lubrication in the intestines and bowels. Also, many people confuse thirst for hunger, which means that when people think they are hungry, they may really be thirsty.

Basically, drinking more water can help you lose weight but drinking water alone won’t make you a size 0.


How can i make my metabolism faster?

Eat small nutritional snacks evey 2 to 3 hours. When you eat your metabolism kicks in (hence breakfast is most important meal of the day). By eating tiny meals more often your metabolism, at least in most ppl, won’t slow or go in to conservation mode. It will keep going even if you’re not eating a lot. This will help your body process more than you’re actually taking in therefor helping in the reduction of body weight. Look up zero-calorie foods. Through basic metabolizing it burns more calories than are actually in these foods. I’m not a nutritionist, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night (ha ha)…seriously though, you should always visit with your doctor if you’re planning to make major diet adjustments.

What are some good exercises that i can do at home in order to lose weight fast and get pretty ripped. I want to ideally lose about 20 pounds or so, in the smallest time possible. How can I and what home exercises can i do to do so?
